You probably did too if you saw the spectacle on the Today Show this morning.  This show is not immune to parading their jounaltainment anchors out there to make asses out of themselves, but I think they finally topped Matt dressed in drag for halloween - Al and Matt in sausage casings on a luge sled.  Tdy_oly_mattal_luge_060215300w

First, I want to know where they found a casing for Al, since they most likely had to cut it off him after the segment.  Have you ever seen sausage made by hand?  I'm guessing that's what it looked like for the PAs that had to get him into that suit.  Matt, on the other hand, thought he was looking pretty good.  He did the rest of the segment with his leg up on the side of the rink.  Meanwhile you've got Katie Couric in some other Italian city shaking her head in her D&G coat because those guys are "just so crazy!"  What a freaking train wreck.  I would recommend setting your TIVO now just in case they do ski jumping tomorrow.

Gauntlet 2 on Steriods?

Thm_cast_alton_photoOh Alton, I love your extremely huge biceps!

Mark, you sure look ripped for a dude who's 45!  Mark
How many reps can you get on the big boulder over next to the guest house?  Roid-rage scuffles by the pool, the reverse tug-o-war, the obvious mandate for all males to be topless the entire show - come on people, the cast of the Gauntlet II is for sure on roids.

Why do I care as I sit on my couch eating chips while these specimens run around and wipe paint on each other?  The truth is I really don't, but maybe the Senate shouldn't stop just at trying to figure out why the HR records continue to be broken by baseball players the size of football centers 10 years ago, and investigate why the casts of these lowest common denominator shows continue to bulk up.  Can someone please explain it to me??  I can't wait for the producers to get a clue and do a non-roid version where they normal sized people (if they win the challenge) select a roid cast member from a metal cage that they can use against the other teams in future challenges!  Tell me that's not some good shit!

I (heart) Laguna Beach

63_lagunabeach_g1If you're like me and you heard the siren's song last year, the latest season of LB was good but a little too grown up and publicized.  There were stories about LC sightings in LA, Kristen dating the best left-handed QB since SY and even a roadshow that reach the PNW.  Too much?  Probably not, but it just felt like they were cheating on me with all those other people out there who actually showed them some attention.  I still love you LB, but you'll be dead to me once the best show on TV gets back to it.
